✍: FYIcenter.com
Most phone numbers in Pakistan are written in the following formats:
Prefix: long distance or international -------------------------------------- | Carrier or area code | -------------------- | | Subscriber number | | ----------------- v v v 0 AA SSSS SSSS - Local format +92 AA SSSS SSSS - International format
Most telephone numbers in Pakistan have 10 digits and are written in the format of "AA SSSS SSSS". Here are some examples: 42 9903 1000; 21 9907 1539.
When dialing locally inside Pakistan, the long distance prefix of "0" is required. So the format becomes "0 AA SSSS SSSS".
When dialing from outside of Pakistan, the international dial-in prefix "+92" is required. So the format becomes "+92 AA SSSS SSSS".
When dialing from Pakistan to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "00" required.
