✍: FYIcenter.com
Most phone numbers in Philippines are written in the following formats:
Prefix: long distance or international -------------------------------------- | Carrier or area code | -------------------- | | Subscriber number | | ----------------- v v v 0 A SSS SSSS - Local format 0 A SSSS SSSS - Local format +63 A SSS SSSS - International format +63 A SSSS SSSS - International format
Most telephone numbers in Philippines have 8, 9 digits and are written in the format of "A SSS SSSS", "A SSSS SSSS". Here are some examples: 8 085 7810; 2 877 7888; 2 8877 1109; 2 8250 5183.
When dialing locally inside Philippines, the long distance prefix of "0" is required. So the format becomes "0 A SSS SSSS", "0 A SSSS SSSS".
When dialing from outside of Philippines, the international dial-in prefix "+63" is required. So the format becomes "+63 A SSS SSSS", "+63 A SSSS SSSS".
When dialing from Philippines to other countries, the international dail-out prefix "+" or "00" required.
